Dr. James Knott
Dr. Knott is a lifelong resident of Council Bluffs. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1966. He received a Bachelor's Degree of Science from the University of Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa Dental School in 1975. Dr. Knott looked at many opportunities to establish a practice and chose to return to his childhood home, where he has been practicing ever since.
Dr. Knott is a member of the American Dental Association and the Southwest Iowa Dental Association. He has taken advanced courses in laser technology at the World Clinical Laser Institute and has completed an implant fellowship at Creighton University. He has also attended the Dental Business Mastery Program in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Knott is married to Stella, and they have three daughters, two grandsons, and a granddaughter. He enjoys bicycling, home remodeling projects, cooking, wine tasting, and computers. He is a member of the Queen of Apostles Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion Post 2 and is a Past President of the local chapter of the Rotary Club International.
Dr. Knott's Continuing Education:
Dr. Knott stays current with new technology and advanced techniques through continuing education. Although only 15 hours are required, Dr. Knott completes a minimum of 50-60 hours of continuing education annually, in such topics as:

Dr. David L. Jones
Dr. Jones holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Iowa Dental Association and is the Past President of the Southwest Iowa District Dental Association. He is also a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry – an organization that is committed to lifelong continuing education.
Since coming to Council Bluffs, Dr. Jones has focused on developing great relationships with his patients and on practicing the most advanced and comfortable dental techniques. He has trained at the World Clinical Laser Institute – studying minimally invasive laser dentistry. Additionally, he is a member of the Cross Country Dental Group in Atlanta, Georgia, which focuses on restorative and rehabilitative dentistry and treatment of TMJ problems. Dr. Jones has also attended the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida. The Pankey Institute's courses of study are recognized by leading dental associations and attract dentists from all over the world who want to provide their patients with top-quality, personalized care.
Dr. Jones is married to Alicia, and they have three children. He enjoys spending time with his family and supporting Creighton Bluejay Athletics. He is also a member of Queen of Apostles Church in Council Bluffs.

Dr. Grant Flenker
Dr. Flenker is a lifelong resident of Council Bluffs. A 1972 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School, he attended college at Creighton University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976, followed by a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1980. Dr. Flenker is a member of the Sioux City Dental Society, which focuses on continuing education. He also attended the Dental Business Mastery Program in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Flenker and his wife, Deb, have three children and four grandchildren. His hobbies include photography and woodcarving, and he is a passionate hunter. He is a member of the Community of Christ Church.

Dr. Robert W. Hurley
A native of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area, Dr. Hurley possesses an unwavering commitment to maintaining dental excellence and to bringing his patients the most advanced and comfortable technology available.
A graduate of Simpson College and the respected University of Iowa College of Dentistry, Dr. Hurley remains up-to-date with developments in dentistry through continuing education, as well as maintaining memberships in prestigious associations including: the International College of Oral Implantology, the Iowa Dental Association (Past District President), the American Dental Association, and the Omaha Dental Association. Dr. Hurley is also a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry – an esteemed achievement – and he has also trained with some of the world's most prominent dental specialists.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hurley enjoys the company of his family and is proud of his successful children. He is very active in his free time, spending it playing basketball and golf, while also enjoying fishing, hunting, biking, skiing, and sailing.

Dr. Melissa Nensel
Originally from Spencer in Northwest Iowa, Dr. Nensel's passion for caring service and her enthusiasm for state-of-the-art dental treatment have made her a trusted friend and advisor to her patients.
Dr. Nensel received her undergraduate degree from Creighton University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa School of Dentistry. Her experience with the most up-to-date dental technology enables her to offer her patients advanced, comfortable dentistry, achieving excellent results. Dr. Nensel is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
At home, Dr. Nensel's hobbies include: spending time with family and friends; cooking and baking; playing tennis, softball, and volleyball; and, supporting Creighton Bluejay and Iowa Hawkeye athletics.
